Mountain Biking
The
Asheville area is known for its world class mountain
biking, and most ABRC riders spend a lot of time on
the trails during the fall and winter. You can usually
find group rides leaving at all times of day and night-so
check the members
board for ride postings.
Two
of the closest and most popular areas are within 15
minutes of downtown: the Alexander Mountain Bike Facility,
a short 6 mile loop that hosts the Cane Creek Cup Series
each year, and The Bent Creek Experimental Forest, with
over 50 miles of single and double track and gravel
roads.
